Dancing dog-gate continues. Yes, Ofcom are now officially investigating Britain's Got Talent over Matisse and his furry stunt double, who walked a tightrope for him.

The routine that saw Matisse's owner, Jules O'Dwyer, win the competition on 31 May, had another very similar looking dog walk a tightrope, which led to a whopping 1,150 complaints, after it was revealed that this wasn't the same animal.

An Ofcom spokesperson said: "We've opened an investigation to determine whether viewers of ITV's Britain's Got Talent final, who may have paid money to vote, were misled about the competition."

Matisse, if that is indeed his real name - we're kidding, that is his real name - won with his owner Jules by just 2.2% of the vote (which fans had to pay for), and left magician Jamie Raven in second place.

The cat got out of the bag/acrophobic dog fell off his lie-platform when Matisse's owner, Jules, revealed the day after the final: "Matisse is a little bit afraid of heights.

"Although he could in fact physically do it, Chase is the action dog that says, 'I'm the action dog'. So he plays the double for him."

WHAT? This other dog can talk? This does beg the question, why use dancing dogs at all? If you've got a talking one... oh, it was a figure of speech. Nevermind.

Simon Cowell spent an hour on the phone with Jules O'Dwyer consoling her, as he feels it's the show that failed her.

He told The Mirror: "I feel that I let her down and that the show let her down.

"She shouldn't have to be in this position because she didn't do anything wrong. But I hopefully reassured her she should put on a very good show for the Queen."
