It’s a view often held that television peaked during the noughties era of Hollyoaks.
That feeling of getting home from school, grabbing five or so chocolate digestives, taking a seat on the sofa and waiting to find out what the latest with John-Paul and Craig, mad old Cathy Barnes and Rhys’s affair, evil Clare’s evil plans etc etc just hasn’t been matched since.
But we’ve just discovered something AMAZING that means you can officially relive it.
Allow us to set the scene.
There we were last night, feeling sad and tearful that we’d caught up with Love Island and Big Brother and had nothing left to watch. We were scrolling 4OD, slowly coming to the upsetting realisation we’d seen literally everything on there (we need to get a life lol) – until we saw the phrase ‘Classic Hollyoaks episodes’.
As you can imagine, we almost cried with excitement.
The episodes can be found in 4OD’s Hollyoaks: Pride boxset, in which you can find episodes that feature the blossoming romance between John-Paul and Craig (AKA the best storyline of any TV programme ever), as well as that between Brendan and Ste.
Warning: You may just cry with all the nostalgic feels when they play the old theme tune.
