Simon Cowell’s not talking to Olly Murs after he bagged The Voice job

We’re sensing some tension here lads

It was recently revealed that Olly Murs had landed the job as Gavin Rossdale’s replacement as a coach on The Voice. All pretty exciting stuff, and personally we can’t wait to hear Olly’s words of wisdom from behind the cool spinny red chair.

However, given that Olly found fame on rival show The X Factor, his new appointment has caused quite the stir and not everyone’s as thrilled about it as we.

Rumours are flying around that Simon Cowell’s actually pretty furious with Olly’s talent show treachery – and now the singer’s spoken out about the situation.

“I haven’t heard from Simon,” Olly confessed in a recording on Good Morning Britain.

But he was quick to dispel any talk of a fallout, adding: "I don't believe in rivalries."

We’re not entirely convinced Simon’s taking the same approach, Olly hun.

Olly then went on to reveal he’s absolutely loving his new role on The Voice, and took the opportunity to reach out to his former X Factor boss insisting there’s ‘no hard feelings’ on his part.

"If he wants to call me, call me. Let's have a chat, Simon."

We’d love listen in to that conversation.

It was recently alleged that Simon hadn’t been speaking to his former colleague Cheryl for months. But then we heard the fantastic news that Chezza would be joining him as a guest judge at Judges’ Houses on The X Factor (much to Sinitta’s dismay).
