Stop what you’re doing. Dig out those bug-eyed sunglasses and brush off your (original) Juicy Couture velour tracksuit, ‘cause we’ve got some news that’s left reflecting on the days when Cheryl was a Tweedy (the first time round) and no one was entirely sure what a Kardashian was.
A simpler time.
Back then, the likes of Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan were the ‘it girl’ socialite queens we hated to love and loved to hate. And in 2003, early reality TV peaked with the absolute gem that was The Simple Life.
For the those unfamiliar with the iconic series, allow us to elaborate.
The show saw millionaire heiress Paris and Nicole, daughter of soul sensation Lionel Richie, swap their lavish L.A. lifestyles for ‘normal’, unglamorous jobs. An episode often consisted of the girls refuse to muddy their stilettos during gruelling farm work or sacking off mundane admin jobs to take selfies on their SideKicks.
Basically, it was LIT (before lit was even a thing) and now Paris has hinted a reunion show may be on the cards.
This comes as Paris and Nicole were pictured together at The Daily Front Row’s Fashion Awards in LA on Sunday 8th April.
Understandably, the internet was SHOOK and immediately called for a Simple Life reboot.
Paris then tweeted a poll asking her followers whether or not the show should return.
It’s a big fat yes from us, Paris, hun.
She also went on to declare her love for former frenemy Nicole, writing: “Love you @NicoleRichie️ No one could make me laugh like you do. �#SimpleLifeReunion �♀️#SanaSa �”
