This year has been an absolute f*cking disaster for a number of reasons that we don’t care to go into right now, so the arrival of The Great British Bake Off back in August was a welcome relief.
‘What could possibly go wrong with the Bake Off?’ we asked ourselves. ‘It’s just a lovely show about lovely cakes with lovely innuendos, and no dramz at all!’
WHAT FOOLS WE WERE.
As you’ll probably be aware, 2016 DOES WHAT IT WANTS and has delivered the biggest load of mares of any year in our living memory.
So, of course, it was announced the Bake Off would be moving to Channel 4.
And Mary Berry, Sue Perkins and Mel Giedroyc wouldn’t be coming with it.
But Paul Hollywood decided to stay.
And he’s now revealed his fears about the move, telling Channel 4 boss Jay Hunt at a London Upfront event that he’s “nervous”.
WE KNOW HOW YOU FEEL, PAUL.
He then added: “it feels like I’m part of something special.
“For me, I’m so excited and I know we will have a great time on Channel 4.”
WE REALLY BLOODY HOPE SO. PLZ.
It’s not yet been confirmed who’ll be joining Paul in the revamped show, but a load of people ranging from Jennifer Saunders to DAVINA MCCALL have been rumoured as hosts.
JUST IMAGINE. ‘Bakers – you are live on Channel 4, please do not swear.’
Lololol.
Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders recently ruled themselves out from the job, with Saunders posting on Twitter: “Its complete bollocks that Dawn and I are 'lined up' to take over Great British Bake off.”
Cry cry :(
