Peaky Blinders fans have been desperate for series 5 of the show to come around since the finale of series 4 aired last December. If you wish to avoid Peaky Blinders spoilers, please look away now.
The last episode in the series saw Tommy evade death yet AGAIN, with his brother Arthur Shelby stepping in at the last minute to kill the family's nemesis, Luca Changretta - played by Adrien Brody.
It also saw the demise of frenemy Alfie Solomons, played by Tom Hardy, as well as Tommy welcome baby Ruby with Lizzie Stark - and win the election to become a Member of Parliament.

HOWEVER. Fans of the show will be thrilled to hear that filming on the show has now BEGUN, and that series 5 will be aired on BBC Two in Spring 2019.
A fan account spilled the news, sharing a photo of Cillian Murphy with the caption, ‘PEAKY NEWS! S5 filming starts tomorrow, Sept 17. The series is expected to air in Spring 2019 on BBC1.’
And if that's not enough confirmation for some folk, reps for the show CONFIRMED that filming started this week to Metro.co.uk .
Although not much is known about the upcoming season, we do know that it will be set in the 1930s and will follow Tommy's foray into politics after becoming the Labour MP for Birmingham South at the end of the last episode.
If any fans were wondering whether this would encourage the Shelby family to go completely legit, Paul Anderson, who plays eldest brother Arthur, has confirmed the opposite to Metro, saying, "Arthur’s got political ties now, let’s put it that way. What it gives Arthur and his family is more power.
"So we’ll all have more cover, we’ll have more opportunity, and more protection. We’ll be able to get away with things under the guise of, 'we’re politicians, we’re respectable'."
Peaky Blinders continues to go from strength to strength, after winning TWO TV Choice Awards earlier this month - Best Drama Series and Best Actor for Cillian Murphy.
