It turns out, this almost happened as the famous blogger claims he tried to quit the show a number of times.
Speaking on Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side last night, he told host Rylan Clark that he tried to walk because the experience was so “traumatic” for him but claims producers convinced him to stay.
Perez went into the Diary Room during one of the rough spells in the house and said he was told it was “the most watched series in years” and the whole country was talking about him and the show and this swayed his decision to stay.
But it came at a cost – in his main eviction interview with Emma Willis last night, he told her he was prescribed sleeping pills as he couldn’t wind down due to the stress in the house.
The writer thanked Big Brother for allowing him to see a doctor and said he was forced to “medicate” for more than a week.
It was almost as horrific for us to watch, Perez…
