If you’ve been watching Strictly Come Dancing religiously this season (as we have) then you’ll understand why this is SUCH a shock!

Pixie Lott is the latest celebrity to be eliminated off from the BBC dance competition.

The 23-year-old and her professional dance partner Trent Whiddon were the tenth couple to leave despite being favourites to win.

Head judge Len Goodman did warn the pair on Saturday night after they performed ‘illegal lifts’ during their Cha-Cha.

According to Len their version shouldn’t have contained as many lifts - so he let it slide that time - but warned if they did it again he wouldn’t be so lenient.

The dance put Pixie third at 35 points on Saturday night’s show, but she was redeemed by her performance in the group Waltz-a-thon, when all six couples waltzed on the floor at the same time in a bid to win all-important extra marks from the judges.

Despite coming first in the Waltz-a-thon (gaining the six top marks) and nailing second place last night, Pixie and Trent were left in the bottom two with Simon Webbe and Kristina Rihanoff.

The Boys And Girls singer repeated her Cha-Cha to the Glee cast version of Love Shack.

Blue singer Simon showed off his American Smooth skills again to Michael Buble’s Heartache Tonight.

It was the first and last time Pixie and Trent faced elimination in this year's competition.

Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli chose to save Pixie while Len and Darcey Bussell chose Simon, which meant the blushing blonde was pipped to the post.

While making their decisions all four judges told host Tess Daly how difficult it was to choose between Pixie and Simon.
