We all thought 2016 was the weirdest year of all time, right? Nope, it was 2003: the year of Teen Big Brother. The hilarious BB spin off, Teen Big Brother: The Experiment, was full of 18-year olds, sans alcohol, ciggies or public votes.

Yeah, the public was not involved in this one at all. In fact, we can barely even remember it. So what was the point? Well, it was meant to be an educational programme that taught these teens "valuable life lessons".

We’re calling bullshit. After watching just a few clips we’re pretty sure it was a half-assed attempt to see some teens behaving badly.

But that wasn’t the weirdest part about it.

Imagine a world, pre- X Factor, where Dermot O’Leary hadn’t yet earned his national treasure status…

The show even featured the first EVER Big Brother sex scene. Things got super steamy between lovebirds Tommy and Jade, before she suddenly remembered she was on television and ran off to cry that her mum was gonna be "so ashamed".
