Rita Ora, X Factor judging newbie, has spoken about the strain of appearing on the show she describes as “brutal”.

Aw, diddums.

She did, however, pay tribute to the bravery of those who do choose to appear.

Is it that much more scary than auditioning for the Eurovision Song Contest, as Rita did? Is it though?

“You have to be more brutal on The X Factor and you have to rely on all the live things that are going on,” Rita said, describing the difference between Simon Cowell’s TV behemoth and *The Voice. *

“The Six-Chair Challenge nearly killed me.

“I did not like promising someone something then taking it back.”

So, would Rita prefer a return to gentler charms of The Voice? She didn’t rule it out….

“Let’s get through this one first,” she told Alan Carr on Chatty Man.

“I can’t say anything but it is all about the contestants at the end of the day… and I am having a great time.”

A “great time"?

We thought it nearly killed you!

Alan Carr: Chatty Man is on Channel 4 at 10pm tonight. Danny Dyer’s on it too. We heart Danny Dyer.
