Here’s, uh, here’s Sir Paul McCartney rapping about a vegetarian petition

What’s the high, piercing whining sound you can hear? Why, it’s the bodies of John Lennon, George Harrison and — if you believe the rumours — The Original Paul McCartney all spinning to high revs up in their graves. And why? Well, watch this video of Sir Paul McCartney loosely rapping about signing a pro-vegetarian petition. Then you’ll know why.

P-Mac — who has been an annoyingly vocal vegetarian since about 1970 — is trying to encourage us all to sign a petition backing Meat-Free Mondays, which is this wheeze to convince the British public to commit to a weekly meat-free meal to raise awareness of the environmental impact of eating meat and instead switch to those weirdly squeaky Quorn sausages.

Anyway if this video of Paul McCartney repeatedly and quickly saying a URL while making hand motions at the camera that suggest they told him they would put the website on-screen in front of him, but then forgot — before saying “you can do it right now please” in a kind of cod-Jamaican accent that borders on being outright racist — anyway yeah if that doesn’t make you want to have a cheese sandwich for dinner then, frankly, nothing will.
