After the hugely successful season finale of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway at the weekend, the likes of Dec Donnelly, Stephen Mulhern, and the rest of the show's cast and crew couldn't wait to celebrate. But it turns out Scarlett Moffatt missed the party!

The former Gogglebox star revealed the news with her fans on Twitter, admitting she'd slept through the wrap party. She wrote, 'When you go to bed for 7pm for a nap and wake up 12 hours late 🤣 well think I’ve definitely missed the wrap party 😪'. [sic]

Oh dear! 🙈

It comes after Dec presented the final show of the series without his on-screen partner Ant McPartlin. The popular presenter is currently battling his addictions in rehab after being charged with drink driving last month.

With Ant absent, Dec was joined by a whole host of star-studded guests on Saturday night's show. As well as Scarlett and Stephen, former Bond girl Denise Richards was the Guest Announcer, with Craig David, Jason Derulo and The Rembrandts all performing.

After presenting the show on his own for only the second time in history, Dec took to Twitter after the episode aired to thank fans for their support. He wrote, 'Thanks for all the lovely messages again this week, we’re all so glad you enjoyed the #SaturdayNightTakeaway series finale. We’ve had a blast in Florida, now it’s holiday time! Thanks for your support. D x' [sic]

Fan footage from the show also showed Dec sending an emotional message to his best friend, as Ant watched the show in England.

He said, "Would you just give one round of applause to Ant who is back home in England", to which the crowd erupted with applause.

Although it isn't yet clear if Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway will be returning for another series, the pair will be back on TV screens next weekend as the audition rounds of Britain's Got Talent begin.
