When Louisa Johnson walked away with T_he X Factor_ crown, it was thought she’d hit the number one spot with her winner’s track* Forever Young*. But, it wasn’t to be and Louisa’s rendition of the Bob Dylan track has flopped, selling just 39,000 copies in its first week.

Following her poor chart performance, it's claimed Simon Cowell is pretty miffed with his song choice and, to be honest, we’re not surprised. It really wasn’t the best.

“It’s an embarrassing result for Syco,” an insider told the Sun. “Even though Louisa had two fewer days of sales, they expected the single to fare much better.

“On reflection, they feel picking a more up-tempo, anthemic song would have been a better idea. But they are fully behind Louisa and insist the poor chart position was down to the song, not the performer.”

Compared to former X Factor winners, Louisa, 17, has definitely not got off to the best start. Last year, Ben Haenow managed to shift 214,000 copies of his winner's song, Something I Need, in the first week.

But we’re sure it will pick up. Maybe when Louisa releases her album, with a decent song…
