It looks like Simon Cowell might not just be satisfied with stealing Rita Ora from The Voice for X Factor – it seems he wants Tom Jones too.
Legendary Welsh warbler Tom recently announced his departure from BBC talent show The Voice and he is apparently being eyed-up for the judges’ houses stage of this year’s X Factor.
And with Rita joining the panel this year, it would make perfect sense to have her pal alongside her to help out in her new role.
Simon told the Daily Mirror: “Tom’s come out of it well. I don’t blame the BBC for the way they did it.
“We all get a bit paranoid at times but he was dignified. He can come on one of the home shows this year.”
Tom previously revealed he was leaving The Voice and didn’t seem too happy about the way he parted ways with the show.
He said at the time: “I’ve supported the show and the BBC since the beginning.
“I was told yesterday, with no consultation or conversation of any kind, that I would not be returning.
“Having been through plenty of transformations throughout the years, I support and admire creative change. But being informed, as a matter of duty and respect, is an important part of creative relationships.”
