Is it just us, or do this year's candidates on The Apprentice seem a bit, erm, rubbish?

There have been tears and tantrums and, for the first time ever, both teams were brought back into the boardroom after failing to impress Lord Sugar with their jeans adverts.

Team Nebula even forgot to bring the jeans to the advert they were shooting…for jeans. LOLOLOL.

Apprentice

While these humiliating cock-ups are probs very traumatising for the candidates, it does make for some pretty good tele. Soz, not soz.

However, it seems the pressure to impress Lord Sugar has all got a bit too much for one candidate, as news has reached heatworld that someone will walk out of the show tonight.

And they do it before the task even starts.

Just as Team Nebula and Team Titan are about to choose their project managers, the candidate interrupts the meeting.

"I just have to say something. I'm going to leave the process. I'm really sorry," they say, according to the Daily Star.

The candidate then continues to explain their reasons for quitting: "I'm just not enjoying it."

Later on, they reveal: "I have found the process overwhelming and stressful and really intense. I just want to go home."

TBF, Lord Sugar is quite scary. But, side-note: he literally cannot spell Halloween to save his life. LOL.

Anyway, the remaining businessmen and women didn’t quite know what to make of this outburst and at first appeared to think it was some sort of joke. One pointed out: "We're just starting a task, it's not the ideal moment."

Even when, the quitting candidate actually left, the others were still pretty stunned: "I actually thought it was a joke – obviously it's not."

Nope, clearly not. Quick, go and add 'ability to read situations well' to your CV.

After the task, the remaining candidates head to the boardroom and Lord Sugar is as indifferent to being one candidate down, as you'd expect.

Alan

Addressing the remaining hopefuls, he says: "Those of you who are observant will realise we are missing one. As I said at the start, if you can't hack it get out."

Hmm, as sympathetic as ever Shugsy.

However, before getting back to business as usual, he did crack a little joke to lighten the mood.

"On the positive front, I've saved myself a cab fare."

LOL. Lord Sugar, you joker.

Watch The Apprentice at 9pm on BBC One tonight to find out who quits and who gets fired.
