Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash’s long-awaited BBC reality show kicked off last week, documenting the chaos of their family life at Pickle Cottage. And while Stacey has got her hands full with five children, we’re told that she’s still open to expanding her brood.
A source says, ‘Although Stacey has ruled out having more children in the very near future, she admits she is still broody and can see her and Joe adding to their family. With the launch of Stacey & Joe, she’s said she could end up pregnant on the show if it’s a success and they’re given another few series. She loved having the TV crew following their lives, and producers are keen to do more.'

Last week, Stacey, 35, took to Instagram Stories to express her nerves ahead of the show’s premiere, saying, ‘It’s personal, it’s new, it’s different for us.’ However, now that it’s started, she’s keen to share even more. The insider adds, ‘Before Stacey was always adamant that she would keep some things private but she has opened up about everything and she thinks there would be nothing better than following a potential pregnancy journey for the show – it would be the ultimate home family movie. She loved seeing people like Kourtney Kardashian give birth and so Stacey feels if she’s lucky enough to get pregnant again, she would love for some special moments to be captured.’
Stacey, 35, and Joe, 43, first met in 2010 after she won I’m A Celebrity, and they got married at their Essex home in 2022. They share children Rex, five, Rose, three, and Belle, two, while Stacey is also mum to Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 12, from previous relationships, and Joe is dad to 17-year-old son Harry, who doesn’t appear on camera.
Both Stacey and Joe have previously opened up about growing their family even further. While Stacey has said she feels like she’s been ‘a baby machine’ the last five years, she shared, ‘Maybe when they’re all a bit older and they’re all at independent school. Then if we’re lucky enough, that’s when I would consider it.’ Meanwhile, Joe has admitted, ‘I think me and Stacey are so blessed that we’re able to have kids and have this amazing family. Yeah, I’d love more.’
Stacey also hinted she was feeling broody when she posted a throwback photo of her bump on Instagram for Mother’s Day, saying that being a mum is her ‘biggest achievement’ and ‘proudest accomplishment’.

Having a family with five children certainly makes for a hectic life, which was evident in the first episode when Joe arrived home five hours late, while Stacey was left juggling childcare in a work meeting, and Zach had a house party until 4am. But we’re told Stacey has loved filming the reality series – the good and the bad – and enjoyed seeing how naturally it came for the children.
Our source says, ‘Throughout filming the show, it has amazed her how comfortable the children are in front of the camera. She was a little worried because she wasn’t sure how they’d be, but they have all loved it – especially the younger three – and they have made some great TV. Stacey wants her kids to do whatever they feel happy doing, but she knows there’s a chance they will follow in her and Joe’s footsteps. She wants to prepare them – and any future children – for that.’
