Here's what heat's movie experts think:
Boyd Hilton, TV & Reviews Editor:
****The most exciting thing is the look of it, which is very reminiscent of The Empire Strikes back, which as we all know is by far and way the best Star Wars film. In fact it's about 10 times better than any of the others. Also, John Boyega looks great in the lead role and that sounds a bit like the Cumberbatch narrating, which would be incredibly exciting, but it might also be Adam Driver off Girls who is actually confirmed to be in the film, unlike Benedict. All in all, it's already better than the last three rubbish Star Wars films. I have high hopes it's going to be, effectively, The Empire Strikes Back Again. **********

Nice to see British star John Boyega front and centre, and while that sword-shaped lightsabre in the woods looks a bit hokey, it was undeniably stirring to see the Millennium Falcon soaring through the sky to John Williams' unforgettable main theme. Dan-dan-dan-DAA-DAAAAAA!**********
Charles Gant, Film Editor:
******I thought it managed to feel like a Star Wars film for 2015 with a very now, contemporary feel while also pressing some nostalgic buttons for the fans. The last film that really managed to do that – be simultaneously freshly modern and nostalgically retro – was Skyfall, which went on to be, and remains, the biggest film ever at the UK box-office. So, at this point, my hopes are very high. *******
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will hit cinemas in December 2015***
