Since leavingGogglebox in 2016, Steph and Dom Parker haven’t been far from our screens. The pair were on the fan-favourite show for three years and were known for their hilarious (and booze-fueled) commentary on the latest telly, and it’s fair to say we were gutted, along with everyone else, when they decided to end their time on Gogglebox.
Since their departure, they have had their own radio show, appeared loads on TV and even turned their mansion into a hotel.
Their radio show, which ran for 20 months between February 2018 and November 2019, saw the pair discuss their opinions on current affairs, much like they used to on Gogglebox. They were on air from 10am until 1pm, with a weekend slot on Saturday and Sunday.
They appeared in many other reality shows including the celebrity version of Hunted. Unfortunately, the pair didn’t get very far. They were caught not even 10 minutes into the second episode of that series.
They were also the stars of the short-lived Steph and Dom’s One Star to Five star, which saw the couple help other hotel owners with their expertise.
They also appeared in a documentary about epilepsy and cannabis and their personal links to the condition.
Steph says in a clip from the programme, “It is a death pretty much; it feels like that. It feels like the death of the future of the child. That child is not going to have a normal life.”
Steph and Dom ventured into the book publishing world in 2015 when they released a book about ‘getting the most out of what life throws at you’. To be fair, we should probably get our hands on a copy because we reckon that book is life-changing.
Probably one of their biggest successes was The Salutation. They brought the mansion in 2004 for over £2 million and turned it into a hotel after their Gogglebox fame. Pitch Perfect actress Anna Kendrick stayed at the Parker’s residence. She told a hilarious story on Graham Norton and it is the best thing ever.
However, sadly the hotel went into liquidation during the pandemic, and we’re devastated we never got to stay there.
