Claudia Winkleman urges Strictly Come Dancing bosses to ‘SACK’ her live on air

Claudia Winkleman urged Strictly Come Dancing bosses to sack her in a bizarre outburst on tonight’s show.

The television presenter was announcing the number of the voting telephone line for contestant Katie Derham and her dance partner Anton Du Beke after their performance.

The star then read the BBC’s terms and conditions of casting a vote before deciding to have a bit of a joke with viewers.

As the competing couples are doing two dances in tonight’s semi-final, Claudia began to tell the audience the terms and conditions for a second time.

However, just a few words in, she decided it was “a terrible idea”, before staring straight into the camera and telling producers: “Fire me!”

The joke went down with fans with many tweeting about how much they enjoy Claudia on the box.

One person wrote: “Claudia Winkleman has to be one of the funniest women on the telly. Totally my kind of humour.”

Another tweeted: “I couldn’t love @ClaudiaWinkle more. Properly bonkers.”
