Casualty actress Sunetra Sarker was the latest celeb in the dance-off on Strictly Come Dancing as the final seven celebrities have been whittled down to six.
The actress and her partner Brendan Cole were knocked out of the BBC dance show after the judges chose to save former Towie star, Mark Wright and his partner Karen Hauer.
Sunetra, 41, was in the dance-off for the third time this series and performed the rumba to Girl From Ipanema while Mark danced the salsa to Viva Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Head judge, Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli all chose to send Sunetra and Brendan home.
Reflecting back on her experience on the dance show, Sunetra said: It’s been such a once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to do this.
“I’d like to thank Brendan for being just so committed and understanding, and a natural dancer this guy – you’ve been great – thank you so much for everything.
“I also want to say a thank you to every singly one of the contestants and all the pro dancers for holding my hand so very tightly – love you all.”
Her dance partner, Brendan, added: “She was a dancer from the beginning, I am extremely proud of her. You should very proud of yourself to get this far – it’s no mean feat!
“To reiterate thanks to everyone that works on the show – it’s the best show on television.”
