Strictly Come Dancing's Gorka Marquez was attacked on his way to a nightclub on Saturday night, just hours after filming the live show in Blackpool.
Reports claim the professional dancer was punched in the face and lost two teeth after being ambushed by a group of youths.
The attack allegedly took place just hours after filming for Strictly's live show in Blackpool ended.
Gorka had been performing a routine on the show with fellow professional dancer, Janette Manrara.
Speaking to The Sun, a source explained: "Gorka and a few of the other dancers were heading to a nightclub to the let their hair down after another brilliant show.
"All of a sudden this group of local louts came out of nowhere. One of them punched Gorka in the face and broke two of his teeth."
The source also revealed that Gorka returned to London for dental surgery following the attack, and is said to be left "shaken" by the events.
Gorka had been eliminated from the competition in week three, along with his partner Tameka Empson. However, he's still taking part in group dances and also spent time filling in for his colleague Brendan Cole, when he was ill earlier in the series.
"He's so upbeat that he won't let an unprovoked attack from a yob ruin his first Strictly in Blackpool," the source continued.
Show bosses have since confirmed that Gorka will be returning to our screens on Strictly Come Dancing next weekend.
Speaking to OK! a spokesperson said: "Gorka was sadly the victim of an unprovoked incident in Blackpool on Saturday night, but he will be back in training this week and looking forward to the group routine next weekend."
