Here at heat HQ we love a dating show. Love Island was pretty much the centre of our universe while it was on, and we’re absolutely obsessed with Celebs Go Dating atm.

But as great as these programmes are, we can't help but think they're all full of young, hot, singles. And it begs the question, 'what about the old folk? When do they get a chance to find love on telly in front of the whole of the UK?!

Well, brace yourselves... becasue their time has come. Apparently, Take Me Out are going to have an OAP special.

Yup, this is not a drill.

The show’s host, Paddy McGuiness revealed the news on Nick Grimshaws BBC Radio 1 breakfast show yesterday. He said: "I don't know if I can say this, probably people will be going mad, but we're doing two specials this year.

"One of them - this is going to get me in so much trouble - "It's not been greenlit, but if I say it, it'll happen.

"We're doing an old age persons' special. Come on, I love the OAPs!"

How incred.

Take Me Out is back on our screens in November. And tbh, we might sign our nan up.

What we wouldn't give to see her having a blow out on the Isle of Fernando...
