Taylor Swift drowns in kittens in the new Diet Coke ad; world mourns sad loss of cat-lady popstar

The princess of pop is dead. Taylor Swift is no longer. She is an ex-Taylor. She has departed this sorry human world and is now nestling in a giant ball of cats, somewhere in the sky.

OK, not really. But we were really concerned about her welfare after watching the latest Diet Coke advert, which was launched last night to promote Taylor’s upcoming album 1989.

Starring in the ad – alongside Tay-Tay, obvs – is the 24-year-old’s beloved pet cat Olivia Benson. Yes, that one with the weirdly squished face.

But once Taylor starts sipping her beverage, more cats start appearing and soon her apartment is completely overrun with mewling balls of fluff.

As things stand, it’s not the worst way to go. But still, if drinking Diet Coke multiplies the cat population with every sip, we’re surprised vets all over the world aren’t campaigning against it.
