The first clip of the UK's fave Ed Sheeran in The Simpsons has been released. In the brief trailer, Sheeran plays the role of Brendan, Lisa Simpson's latest love interest.
Sheeran, who has been dominating the music charts first announced his appearance back in July 2017. He commented, "This year continues to be equally surreal and amazing. Watch out for this one, me and Lisa have a whole thing going on,"
He is evidently a massive fan of The Simpsons like the rest of us; the singer even has a tattoo of Blinky, the shows three-eyed fish.
"We had a perfect part for him," executive producer Al Jean said in an interview "So we said, 'Oh, great, we'll have him do this!' And we recorded him over the phone from England."
The featured episode ‘Haw-Haw Land’ will air Sunday January 7.
