Here at *heatworld *we know we're your go-to source for the hard, difficult-to-digest news; so allow us to inform you of some potentially-life-changing news.

You know E4's Don't Tell the Bride? Your default hangover show that sees grooms taking the reigns to organise their wedding day in scenes that are, nine times out of ten, frickin' ridiuclous? Well apparently it's fake and you've been living a lie.

See, this is why we have trust issues.

Don't Tell the Bride

Discussing his appearance on the show, one groom claimed the ceremony we see on telly is 'not legally binding' meaning they actually, er, don't get married at all. Blimey.

He told The Sun: "It was written into our contract that our ceremony would not be legally binding and so we should go to a register office later.

"That is what we did. But we had no follow up from anyone from the show after the filming, so we could easily have avoided it and had the party for free.

"It makes a bit of a mockery of the process that the bride and groom go through this huge ordeal for a ceremony which isn’t even legal."

So what have E4 got to say about this, eh? Well, a spokeswoman explained: "All contributors sign notice to marry for their legal ceremony in the presence of a production team member but before filming starts.

"An update or photos from this legal ceremony is shown at the end of each episode."

So there you have it. Life just changed forever.
