Last year really was a crackin' year for television; Love Island: All Stars launched, The Traitors returned for series 2, which absolutely slapped, and we FINALLY got some Gavin and Stacey closure after all these years.
Oh, and we can't even think about Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell's waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone on Strictly without ugly crying. What a year.

We got to look back at lots of last year's telly highlights recently when BAFTA announced it's nominations for this year's P&O Cruises Memorable Moment and one nomination stood out loud and clear as the hunniest – Diane Carson from The Traitors telling the nation that Paul wasn't her son... but Ross was. Iconic.
The Traitors series 2 legend – who has morphed into a hun of huns since her dramatic AF funeral on the show – has recently launched her own podcast called Spill the Fizz (camp) with London drag queen Beary Poppins and the pair discussed her recent BAFTA nomination during their most recent hilarious episode.

Speaking of her iconic moment with her co-host, she said, 'So, in the castle, the contestants thought my son was in the castle, which, of course, he was, but they happened to get the wrong son. They suspected that Paul was my son, so I went in for one of the daily interviews and basically said that i couldn't believe that Paul was my son – he was taller than me, he had red hair (because obviously, mine's not natural), and so Paul couldn't possibly be my son, followed by... "But Ross is."
'So that sent the nation into a complete tizz and it's quoted all over the place [with] people trying my accent.'
If you didn't spend February 2024 going around telling strangers, 'But Ross is' here, there and everywhere, then you're lying to yourself and us.

Interestingly, as touched as our Diane is by her nomination, it turns out the moment itself somewhat gives the retired school teacher the ick. Explain, Di...
She revealed, 'The funny thing is, being a punctuation and English teacher, I would never have finished a sentence with the word "is" and I cannot believe I'm now known for finishing a sentence with the word "is", but there you go.'
Can someone now nominate her for another award for saying this? Please and thank you.

You can listen to episode 2 of Spill the Fizz with Diane and Beary now. Ross also makes a cameo to discuss his thoughts on his mum's BAFTA nomination...
