Tila Tequila has spoken out about getting the boot from the Celebrity Big Brother house just hours after entering.

The reality star was removed on Friday, less than 24 hours after Thursday night’s launch show, for views she expressed on social media before appearing on the Channel 5 show, which bosses deemed unacceptable.

Two years ago, the model posted a picture of herself on Facebook in which she could be seen wearing a military cap and swastika armband whilst holding a gun outside a Nazi death camp.

Describing her removal as a “premature eviction”, she wrote online: “Back in 2013 I made a statement about Hitler not being a bad person, and immediately realised soon after that I had made a terrible mistake that would ultimately come back to haunt me.

“During that time I had been suffering from severe depression and drug addiction for many years prior to that. I also attempted to commit suicide in 2012 and overdosed on prescription pills. I wanted to die.

“I felt worthless and unloved as that pain continued to grow causing me to further spiral out of control, losing touch of myself and reality. It was absolutely the lowest point I had ever reached in my life, and today I am truly sorry to everyone that I may have hurt along my self-destructive path.”

She went on to admit that she sees herself as a flawed human being who has made many mistakes but is trying to improve and be a good role model for her daughter.

Tila continued: “Although I cannot do much to change my past mistakes, I can however, try to make things right from this moment forward, and be the best person that I can be. I am in no way, shape or form a racist or anti-Semitic, and absolutely 100% not a Nazi supporter.

“It was a careless mistake that I made in 2013 while suffering severe depression, drug addiction, and [being] suicidal. That is not the woman I have grown up to be today, and the loving mother that I have become.”

The model then asked for people’s forgiveness, adding: “I just want a second chance at life to start over, and be given a chance to fix my wrongs. It will be a work in progress but I want to do this so my daughter will be proud of me one day, and have a positive, strong role model in her life and that starts with me.

“I hope that Celebrity Big Brother will give me a second chance.”

After she entered the house on Thursday, a petition was launched to get Tila off the show thanks to the post which did not only include the picture.

Along with the image, she allegedly wrote at the time in a blog post titled ‘Why I Sympathise with Hitler Part 1’, that Hitler was a “good man”.

The article stated: “He was not a bad person as they painted him out to be. Not even close!!!

“Hitler was a good man and it takes some f**king balls for someone to say this out loud in this day and age, especially for a public figure like myself.”

Announcing their decision to remove Tila on Friday, a Channel 5 spokesman said: “Unfortunately, Channel 5 and Endemol did not know about the views and attitudes Tila had expressed in social media postings prior to her involvement in Celebrity Big Brother.

“When they were brought to our attention, she was called to the Diary Room for a discussion with producers and was subsequently removed from the house.

“The views Tila had expressed, and permitted to remain uncorrected, are totally unacceptable and, accordingly, her continued involvement in the programme was untenable.”
