Cast your minds back to the end of Series 12 of The Only Way Is Essex and you will remember Chloe Sims and Lauren Pope’s huge bust up over Chloe dating Lauren’s old flame Mario Falcone.
Anyway, the relationship only lasted a couple of months – Mario had moved swiftly on with a new love interest in Dubai and Chloe, well, we doubt she’s been crying into her pillow at night.
And looks like we were right, as she’s clearly moved on to co-star Elliot Wright – the pair we seen looking all loved up from the moment they stepped on the plane to Marbella for filming of TOWIM (The Only Way Is Marbs).
Sat together, Elliott, 32, helped Chloe, 31, with her hand luggage so she could apply her make-up. And once in Marbella, the couple were barely apart. We know Elliot is a looker but is their relationship the real deal? Or is it just part of a wider ploy to get more screen time while out in Marbs?
We’re not the only ones questioning where the hell their love blossomed. Returning star Lydia Rose-Bright said: “I'm very shocked. I didn't see that one coming, but if they decide to take things forward I'm happy for them. I think they're a well suited couple. I don't think there was enough there between Chloe and Mario for her to be heartbroken about it, it was a bit of a fling and nothing evolved from it.
“Chloe and Elliot have both got children and they're slightly older, so I feel they are more suited for their age. I'd like to think it isn't for storylines but we'll see.”
heat grilled a few cast members last weekend while we were out with them in Marbella, and those who wished to remain anonymous said it was a “showmance”.
Dani Armstrong thinks Chloe and Elliot are suited but questions where their relationship evolved, adding: “It's funny how it's only just happened. They seem cute at the airport. I think Lauren will be shocked.”
Oh yeah, what about Lauren? Well she hasn’t dated Elliot [we checked – and she hasn’t] but Elliott was her ex-BFF. Ouch. Sorry Lauren.
But Lauren shouldn’t be that fussed now that she’s dating someone outside the cast…guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Ferne’s getting a bit swept along with their whirlwind romance, saying: “It’s nice to see people happy who have been single for a long time” [err we’re not sure it’s been THAT long, aren’t we forgetting Mario and there’s the TOWIE extra that Elliott took as his date to a film premiere...]. Ferne continued: “I'm all about the present and if right now is really good then that's nice. If they want to make a Marbella trip, which is usually stressful, a good one then good luck to them. Imagine their kid - it would be tanned!”
One co-star who claims she saw it coming all along is Jasmin Walia. She tells us: “I'm not surprised, I saw it coming. I heard stuff and to be honest I think it's cute. They look good together, I hope they make it work.”
