Earlier this year, TOWIE saw the biggest shake-up in its nine-year history, as a new generation of young Essex-types joined the cast to breathe new life (and, of course, drama) into the series. And while they certainly delivered plenty of that, there were two standouts who stole the show and became instant heat favourites.
Eighteen-year-old besties Chloe Brockett and Joey Turner have become the show's most fabulous double act since Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge thanks to their sassy one-liners, sharp tongues and Insta-worthy wardrobes; so is it any wonder the stars reckon the rest of the cast are 'jealous' of them?
Asked if she thinks their castmates are jealous of their popularity, Chloe told heat: "Yes! The new girls have definitely had a bit of jealousy, and some people let it overtake them."
"At the beginning, it was very much me and Ella, and Chloe and Kelsey," added Joey, "but the tables turned very quickly.
"Me and Chloe soon figured out that we were stronger as a pair. At the end of the day, all I will say about [co-stars] Kelsey [Stratford] and Ella [Wise] is that you can’t be friends with someone who wants your life."
Savage.
But we thought you called a truce with Kelsey and Ella at the end of the last series, Chloe?
"We haven’t spoken with them since filming," she told us. "We were just so drained by the end of the series. They were loving it, though, because it made them relevant. It gave them a storyline."
"We were their free meal ticket," explained Joey. "I say hello to Ella if I see her out, but I am very black and white. I can’t be fake with people. Either you’re my good friend, or you’re not my friend at all."

Following his break-up from his on screen love, Lydia Bright, he took sometime off from TOWIE. He appeared on and off for a number of series but in 2020 he opened up about his cocaine addiction and eating disorder. He is now in an on/off relationship with Gemma Collins.
