On Thursday, Disney’s big wig Bob Iger confirmed some of the best news we’ve heard in aggggges. Yes, Toy Story 4 is definitely happening. It’ll hit cinemas in June 2017 and John Lasseter - who headed up the first two films - will direct.
Tom Hanks, who voiced Woody and Tim Allen, who does Buzz Lightyear have yet to confirm if they’ll be returning to provide their voicework the film. Although, it seems very likely, as most of the cast contributed to recent spin-off features, including Toy Story Of Terror and Toy Story That Time Forgot, which airs on NBC on December 2nd.

Toy Story 3* was released in 2010 and was directed by Lee Unkrich, who was a co-director on the second film. The film raked in a whopping $1.063 billion worldwide, making it the highest grossing animation of all time.
This record has since been snagged by Pixar’s other super-hit Frozen, which earned took $1.072 billion in 2013.
Bog Iger said: “John created Toy Story and directed its first two films and it's great to have him back directing one of our most valuable properties.
But what could the storyline be? The beloved toys have left their owner Andy, been rescued from a day care and given to a new little girl. Perhaps they’ll be a new trilogy with her? Or maybe they’ll have to battle with kids disinterest in toys, as they become more and more addicted to computers?
Who knows. Either way, we're so excited we're going to start watching all of the films again RIGHT NOW, y'know for research purposes...
