The Traitors has cemented itself as the nation's guilty pleasure/addiction for the third year running but the sleuthing and overanalysing aren't just contained to the hallowed walls of Scotland's Ardross Castle, as observant fans have taken to X with what they believe are plot holes in the show's winning format.
Take the notorious breakfast scene. You know, where the cast enter the dining hall with trepidation before finding out who was murdered the night before? Well, some headstrong viewers are adamant that there is a notable flaw in the order the players arrive at breakfast.
Referencing how the cast members rock up in groups, someone pleaded, 'They really need to stop making the last two who turn up to breakfast, Faithfuls.'
Another echoed the observation, 'First time watching The Traitors so don’t know if they’ve always done it like this but having the last three that come in for breakfast being the three that were discussed by the Traitors surely makes it obvious to the rest to rule them out?'
A third wrote, 'If the contestants had watched previous series of The Traitors, they'd realise that the last two people into breakfast every morning are always the two who The Traitors considered murdering the night before, but didn't - and therefore they have to be Faithful.'
'In The Traitors, am I dumb or should it be a dead giveaway that everyone who's been in a "final group" entering breakfast is a Faithful? Because it's always the murder candidates? What am I missing?' questioned a fourth X user.
After Ed Gamble opened up exclusively about the show's new twist - we're a sucker for some behind-the-scenes intel - we spoke to season two finalist Mollie Pearce about this wild breakfast theory that many can't seem to drop.
Assuring us that there is no rhyme or reason to the order, Mollie, 22 - who is taking part in this year's Dancing On Ice - said, 'It is random. I get the theory that everyone's saying, but sometimes, Traitors come in last, so you just wouldn't know.
'And there are [Traitor] recruitments and stuff. I understand the theory and I think it's a good topic, but it wouldn't work like that - producers would have thought of that. The way they do it is really good.'
That's that, then.
Dancing on Ice is on ITV1 on Sunday nights at 6.30pm and Catch Up via ITVX
