Vin Diesel paid an emotional tribute at the Teen Choice Awards to his Fast and Furious 7 co-star Paul Walker, who sadly died just before filming finished at the end of 2013.

Joined on stage by the movie's cast including Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez and Ludacris as they collected the Choice Movie: Action award, the forty-eight-year-old muscle-bound actor used the chance to thank Paul and his daughter Meadow.

He said: "We are a true, true, true family. You fans have been so incredible to us and have encouraged us and made us reach higher each time.

"I can't stand here and be rewarded like this without talking about somebody very, very, very important to us.

"One of the best lessons in our lives is the fact that we had the opportunity call Pablo our brother. Paul Walker is here in spirit with us.

"And since this is a Teen Choice award, you beautiful teens, there is one teen in the audience that is a part of the family that kept us going," he added.

"It's Paul Walker's family – his parents and his brothers – that kept us encouraged while we were making Furious 7, but there is one very, very special teen here, and her name is Meadow Walker."

Paul Walker, who tragically died in a car crash in November 2013, was awarded a posthumous accolade on Sunday Night, being dubbed the Teen Choice Awards' Choice Movie Actor: Action.
