Ed Sheeran’s music has probably been played during many a romantic moment. But on the scale, we don’t think it gets more romantic than this.
During a gig in Austin, Texas, Ed tells the crowd: “I never actually do this, but I've just had a dude sitting in the front row holding a sign up for me during the whole concert. Would you like to come on stage?”
To the screams of almost 20,000 people the man walks up on stage, with his timid looking girlfriend following behind, and takes the microphone off Ed.
“Right so, I'm just thinking out loud here...,” the man told the crowd. “After coming across someone so amazing, so talented and so beautiful inside and out, there was no way I was going to let her go.
“I thought to myself I better grab her, hold on for dear life and tie her down quick.”
He then pulled a ring out of his pocket and got down on one knee. She said yes, thank goodness, and Ed told his fans later on Twitter: “Proposal tonight in Austin, I might've welled up, but don't say anything.”
