And, for once, it's not Gary Beadle

Tonight may see the most awkward Ex On The Beach moment ever.

And there have been many awkward moments: David Hawley finding out Jemma Lucy had slept with his best friend Scotty T; Gary Beadle and Lillie Lexie Gregg kissing; everything Stephen Bear does. And that’s just this series.

But we'd contest that what happens in tonight's episode is the worst of them all.

An ex comes out of the sea and isn't recognised by the man she used to share a bed with. Cringe.

The woman is Aimee Kimber and her ex is Conor Scurlock.

When Aimee emerges Conor thinks she must be Gaz's ex. AWKWARD. But… we smell a rat.

Rather than being a one-night kinda thing (the reason Gaz didn't recognise one of his exes in series two), Aimee says she and Conor had an actual thing going on.

"The best thing about our relationship was the sex, the worst thing was his immaturity," she said in a video for MTV.

"Me and Connor sort of fizzled out but we'd still see each other. It was on going, basically. It didn't end on good terms though because he slept with someone else and pissed me off. "

AND THEN:

"I saw Connor a day before he went on the show. He had no idea I was going on."

So how could he not recognise her? Still, his short-term memory loss is no barrier to romance and Conor decides he wants to rekindle things with Aimee, a move in no way designed to piss Holly Rickwood off we're sure.

Conor's turning into quite the Charlie Big Potatoes of Ex On The Beach. And later on he drops Bear and Chrysten Zenoni right in it. Serves 'em right, frankly.

Would you like to watch Aimee talking about Conor? You can.
