The soaps always save their most explosive storylines for the festive period and this Christmas will be no exception as there’s some serious drama going down in Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.

Over on the Corrie cobbles, there’s a white wedding for David Platt and Shona Ramsey as they decide to give their marriage another go.

Meanwhile, in EastEnders, Ian Beale continues to live in fear as one of Walford’s residents wants him dead and is out for blood.

There’s another Christmas wedding in the Dales as Emmerdale’s Paddy Kirk plans a surprise ceremony for Chas Dingle – but not everyone is pleased about their nuptials.

Finally, over in Hollyoaks, Edward Hutchinson tells his son Tony that Diane is dead – but is he telling the truth?
