Whoops! Poldark burglar alarm: Someone’s getting in trouble for this press shot

First, there was that brazen bottle of water on Downton Abbey’s fireplace (oops) and now the BBC has only gone and put a burglar alarm in the background of its latest Poldark press shot – WHAT IS HAPPENING?!

In case you didn’t know, the programme making our Sunday nights sexy again is supposed to be set in 1782, about 120 years before the first alarms were invented.

Thankfully the offending alarm had been edited out by the time the episode was watched by seven million viewers, so we could concentrate on the important things, like drooling over a windswept Aidan Turner.
