Will Smith has broken hearts by putting rumours of a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reunion to bed.
Earlier this month, his former co-star Jazzy Jeff announced that there were talks to bring the Nineties sitcom back. During a UK gig this week, however, Will revealed that sadly this is not true.
Will told ET: "Stuff had to go really wrong for there to be a Fresh Prince reunion special. Like, I don't know what would have to happen! Nah man, you can't touch stuff like that.
“It's so nostalgic for people - I'm not going nowhere near that."
Will said this at the Blackpool Livewire music festival, where he reunited on stage with DJ Jazzy Jeff for the first time in 12 years.
This comes after Jazzy sparked excitement earlier this month by telling The Sun: “There have been talks with people about doing something. I think it would be cool if they did it and go down memory lane again. It’s a blessing to be part of something that people still hold in high regard. You can’t beat that.
“It’s hard for people to keep their attention span normally, but to be able to keep it for all these years and transcend generations, put their kids onto it, this is deep.”
In March this year, stars of the show including Alfonso Ribeiro, Tatyana Ali and Daphne Reid and Joseph Marcell met for a reunion in Malibu.
This was the first time the Fresh Prince squad had been pictured together since the show ended a whole TWENTY years ago.
The gang met for dinner at Nobu, which gave fans hope that a reunion may be on the cards.
Turns out, however, it’s not happening. SAD TIMES!
