The X Factor's finally back on our screens this weekend; which means not only are any weekend plans for the foreseeable scrapped, but it's essentially now winter.
Now we all know the show's undergone some major changes this time round - what with The Xtra Factor being scrapped and bootcamp going back to the arena set up - but did you know Simon Cowell purposely blocked 'boring' old contestants from auditioning again?

Chatting to The Sun about series 14 (yep, FOURTEEN), Simon said: "We didn’t want the same people coming back again. Now, there are a few who have been on the show before.
"But when you’ve just got the same people coming back year after year, it’s boring for us; boring for the audience.
"People are flying in from all over the world to be on the show. They trust the show and you have to respect them."
So what else is new this year, then? Well aparently we'll see some acts performing their own original material. He added: "When they are good song writers you have to encourage that, 100%, otherwise it’s just karaoke.
"I have to be careful what I say because I have learnt through the years that whatever you do, other people copy you.
"You hope that whatever we do other people don’t copy; we try not to copy what other people are doing."
