On a rainy day early last week heat decamped to a studio in North London to shoot The X Factor boys category. Because the finalists had yet to be announced our shoot was top secret. And MEGA exciting!

Mel B’s category were going to be working autumnal smart-casual with shots of leopard print (well, they are Scary Spice’s boys!) against a quirky pastel set. With a model of a leopard. Standard Monday morning, right?

Naughty naughty!

After choosing their fave pieces and working out a look, we cracked on with the shoot…

Cutie Andrea ‘Pugs’ Faustini was first up, requesting a big Beyonce soundtrack to pose to. A lover of a good jumper, Andrea wore a pale pink oversized knit with a smart shirt, chinos and fierce animal kicks.

Next the lovely Paul Akister took to the set, rocking washed out leopard with denim and on-trend ochre trews with red moccs to finish.

Smooth talking charmer Jake Quickenden was last. The tall Scunthorpe lad looked slick in a mismatched suit with leopard shirt and plimsols.

Check out this week’s heat magazine for the full interview with this year’s* X Factor* boys!
