So far this year, The X Factor has been rather surreal - with the likes of Bratavia and Honey G making the live shows.
Thousands of viewers even signed a petition to have Honey removed from the show and replaced with someone they deemed more talented.
But the talent competition has now been hit with fix claims after a former contestant posted a cryptic message alongside a picture of himself on the programme's stage.
Marcus Collins, who finished runner-up to Little Mix in 2011, left fans speculating what he could mean after sharing a post on Instagram.
He wrote: "That awkward moment when you’ve already been told something and have to pretend you don’t know and are hearing it for the first time."
The message was posted along with a snap of him standing next to his former series mentor Gary Barlow during what may have been a results announcement.
Despite Marcus not revealing what he may have already been told, his fans quickly assumed he had been informed the results of a vote before they were unveiled live on television.

One person replied: "KNEW it! When did they tell you? What did they say?"
Another commented: "That’s crazy you knew beforehand."
This year's X Factor has been marred by controversy - some viewers were previously left unimpressed with show judge Sharon Osbourne after she chose to put Honey G through to the live finals.
And Honey’s fellow former contestants, boyband Yes Lad, even thought she was a "fake" contestant and part of a prank put on by producers.
Band member Lewis Maxwell told Digital Spy: "When we first met her and were filming Boot Camp, we thought she was fake. She was all out there."

His bandmate Luke Gregory added: "Because they (The X Factor producers) play tricks on you, don’t they? She had a mic on her. Then we found out she was an act on the show.
"She is such a lovely woman - when you get to know her she is a really nice woman."
