So remember those reports Simon Cowell was set to shake up The X Factor judging panel by axing Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne and Nicole Scherzinger; apparently in favour of Louis Tomlinson or former judge Cheryl Tweedy? Well Louis was not happy about it; claiming he's still contracted to appear on the show and insisting it's 'watertight.'
Well it looks like - despite the fact Nicole's said to be OUT - Louis and Sharon will return to the panel this year. Ooh.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, a source said: "Louis and Sharon have to stay.
"Both made it clear they were going nowhere and they would fight for their jobs.
"Not only would the cost to get rid of them run into several million, so would the stars who would take over.
"It is just not a feasible option, they will be back alongside Simon.
"But the big issue here is that it means Simon can’t go young again, he can’t get a team of young talent in to appeal to a new audience.
"Instead, he will have to stick with what he has got.
"He'll have to accept that his loyal audience is much older than he had believed."
This all comes after Louis claimed his X Factor contract's 'watertight,' telling The Sun: "My contract is watertight. I’ve checked it out with someone and have told Simon that.
"He has asked me to come and see him in LA.
"I have spoken to Sharon. She’s said they can only sack us if they pay us.
"Sharon did say she was surprised she hadn’t been given any filming dates."
Let's see how this one pans out, shall we?
