THE X FACTOR’S MATT TERRY MET LOUIS TOMLINSON AND THEY ARE IDENTICAL

This year's series of The X Factor has surprised us for a number of reasons – stair porking, welcome party orgies, Honey G etc etc - but none more so than a certain audition that took place some weeks ago.

The audition we speak of concerns a rather easy-on-the-eyes boy who waltzed in and sung Stand By Me.

'WHAT'S THIS?' we said to ourselves. 'WHY ON EARTH IS LOUIS TOMLINSON AUDITIONING FOR THE X FACTOR AGAIN? HE'S ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS PEOPLE IN THE WORLD!!!'

But then we realised that it wasn't in fact Louis, but actually his ACTUAL* biological from-the-same-womb twin!

Matt Terry has caught the hearts of the viewing public and the judges, and he's positively sailing through the live shows.

But the best thing about his X Factor appearance so far isn't his quite frankly wonderful performances, or even his quite frankly wonderful hits of high notes – it's a selfie he recently took with Louis Tomlinson.

Perhaps they took it at a family gathering? Because they definitely 100% have exactly the same family because they are actual twins.**

And his followers were just as dumbfounded as we are.

One wrote: "Omg double action," another: "U look like identical twins!" and our personal favourite: "A FATHER AND SON."

What a wonderful moment for all involved.
