If you live in the UK, have access to a pair of ears, and haven't been living under a small rock in the deepest depths of the darkest forest these past few weeks, you'll probably have heard of Honey G.
Literally everyone (prob not literally) has some sort of very strong feeling about Honey G.
The rapper from north Weezy has been positively sailing through the live shows, and a whole load of people (including Sinitta. And us.) have been legit thinking she could win.
Until last night…
In the results show she made the bottom two with Ryan Lawrie, and… spoiler…
SHE GOT THROUGH.
THREE of the judges (not including Nicole Scherzinger, obv) opted to send Ryan home, and viewers were seriously not happy.
Below are some samples demonstrating just how pissed off they are.
"Simon keeping Honey G is a FIX desperate for ratings I can only assume. #XFactor."
"#xfactor Tonight's vote resulted in Honey G being saved by the judges it's an absolute disgrace the show has lost all credibility."
"@TheXFactor is a complete fix. Honey G what the hell is wrong with the judges? @RyanLawrie_ deserved to go through he can sing! #XFactor."
"Cowell just admitted it had nothing to with music. Doesn't think Honey G will win (but will bring in viewers) #XFactor #XtraFactorLive"
"So #SimonCowell saved #HOneyG on the bases [sic] he thinks she wants it more! Seriously UNFAIR AND #LOUIS?! JUST PROVES AGAIN #XFACTOR IS FIXED"
And, of course, Piers Morgan waded in.
Simon’s justification for opting to send Ryan home was as follows.
"That was bizarre. Look, Ryan you were my wildcard pick and I think what you have done has been incredible. Honey, it wasn’t as good as it sounded in the studio.
"I think this should go to deadlock. For me, the one who felt they wanted to stay in more was Honey G, so will send home Ryan."
Blimey.
