X Factor’s Brian Friedman slams Lauren Platt: ‘She let me down, now we know her limitations’

There’s no doubt Lauren Platt can sing – when she opens her mouth on the X Factor and blasts sound across the nation it almost brings a tear to our eye (just the right one), especially when she slows those tracks down to MAKE THEM HER OWN.

But the show’s creative director Brian Friedman thinks she has a long way to go before she will comfortably have the whole popstar package.

Lauren was seen taking instruction from her mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini on Saturday night’s show as she was told to really perform her dance routine with passion, but it seems there was a bit of a problem.

In his Daily Mirror column, Brian wrote: “There was a lot of drama with Lauren Platt’s dance routine – she literally had three seconds, but it was like we were asking her to do an Olympic run.

“She didn’t embrace it. She got on stage at the live show and threw it away.

“She could have had a stellar performance. I thought it would be a standout moment in the show and it did let me down.

“Now we know her limitations.”

Ouch!
