The X Factor has been hit with further fix claims amid reports Finland is now able to vote for their national, and contestant, Saara Aalto.

Finnish fans of the show are said to have hacked the programme’s app which allows people to vote for their favourite act.

Saara is currently the show’s favourite to win and has allegedly been gaining votes from people in her homeland even though people are only supposed to vote using the app if they are in the UK.

The singer’s mentor and show judge Sharon Osbourne told the Daily Star: "If they can hack the pentagon they can hack X Factor.

"You’re talking about millions of votes that would have come in for X Factor, there are only five million people in Finland.

"I’m sure two million Finnish people aren’t these votes. These votes are coming from the UK. Maybe 20 nerds that know how to break through firewalls, good for them!"

A spokesperson for the ITV talent contest confirmed there had been some votes from Finland but insisted it would not affect the outcome.

They said: "We have been monitoring Finnish voting levels over the course of the series and can confirm that the level of activity has not affected the outcome of any votes.

"Finnish votes via the app represent under one per cent of the UK vote."
