Zayn Malik slicks hair into ponytail for One Direction X Factor performance with Ronnie Wood

Well, would you look at this? It's only Zayn Malik showing off another slicked 'do, isn't it? Well, yah!

The One Direction star appeared with his band on The X Factor final on Sunday night and sung Where Do Broken Hearts Go with The Rolling Stones legend Ronnie Wood.

We can't help but notice Zayn has had some, err, shall we say, trouble with his hair lately.

He's been experimenting a bit by growing it out, which is all very well and good, but it certainly divided opinion amongst fans. Well, anyone that set eyes upon it.

The singer has been wearing his locks in a long, shaggy fashion and we much prefer it the old way to be honest.

He did make an effort at the first BBC Music Awards this week when he styled it into one of the BEST QUIFFS EVER (there's a LOL for you).

And tonight he tried something different - he slicked it back into a little ponytail.

It seems to have gone down well, with one fan tweeting: "Zayn Malik = better hair than 400% of the world."

Another wrote: "Zayn Malik is so attractive. Zayn Malik looked amazing tonight. Zayn Malik's vocals were on point. Zayn Malik's long hair is beautiful."

Meanwhile, his bandmate Niall Horan was excited about other things such as, oh, we don't know, performing with rock God, Ronnie Wood.

After the performance, he said: "As a guitarist fan, fan of guitarists, it doesn’t get better than this. I’m absolutely honoured to be on this stage with Ronnie Wood."
