How do I decide which shade to go for?
You need to think of what would suit your skin tone, the shade should also work well with your natural hair colour.
Highlights or full head tint-what are the pro's and cons of both?
Highlights are good for natural blondes and for greys, it allows you to blend in your natural colour and have a softer re-growth as long as you don't have a very dark base colour.
Full head tint gives you full coverage and an overall solid colour, good if you don't want your natural hair colour to come through but you will have a stronger re-growth.
**How much maintenance is it? **
You can go for a 15 minutes smudge every 4 weeks in between your highlights appointments, this will lift your root colour and blend in with your highlights. If you have a tint you will need to come in every 4/6 weeks to cover your root re-growth.
Can I do it at home?
Colour always looks best when done by a professional.
How do I keep it looking fresh?
Regular deep conditioning treatments as blonde hair need a lot of moisture. John Frieda Go blonder Shampoo (£5.99, available from Boots) has natural lightening agents that will remove any brassiness and keep your hair moisturised and shimmery.
Will it really go green in the swimming pool?
Some pools have a high contain of chlorine, always wet your hair with fresh water before going in the pool and add a bit of conditioner, this will make the chlorine glide off your hair.
