When you’re as successful and stunning as actress and businesswoman Jessica Alba, everyday must be filled with sunshine and puppies. Not so, appaz. The star of Sin City has admitted even she feels a bit cruddy on occasion.
Speaking on the Meredith Vieira show Jess admitted, “In my teens and my 20s I just wasn’t sure of myself and I was always kind of insecure and felt I needed to apologise for myself.”
The beauty ambassador for Braun is now on a mish to get gals feeling great about themselves and the world. Cheesy? Yes, but we love Alba and so by proxy love this.
"I was always kind of insecure."
The mum of two wants you to tell other ladies how brilliant they are!
“I completely relate to feelings of self-doubt and feeling judged but, happily, I also know personally how wonderfully empowering female positive reinforcement is. I’m encouraging women to say, share and show their support to female friends, family, colleagues – sisters everywhere. Let’s give each other the confidence to break free from self-doubt and all walk that little bit taller. Think of a woman you admire today and tell her!”
She’s a dab hand with a bullwhip so we’d better listen to her, eh?
Jessica has kicked off a positivity chain, too, and is encouraging other women to join in. To be part of the chain, simply write a #breakfree message of support to a fellow female and upload it here{
GO GIRLS INNIT.
