Back in May this year it was revealed that Coronation Street actor Alex Bain was set to become a dad at the age of 16, with his girlfriend Levi Selby expecting the couple's first child. Alex, who plays the role of Simon Barlow in the popular soap, has now opened up about his little one's pending arrival, posting a scan photo on his social media pages.
After a number of reports suggesting Alex and Levi had split up, the popular actor has since confirmed they are still together. He wrote, 'For all those wondering, 'I’m still with my girlfriend Levi, and I honestly cannot wait for my little baby girl to arrive! I cant wait to have my own little family!' [sic]

16-year-old Levifirst announced she was pregnant back in May, with the actor's girlfriend posting a baby scan on social media.
Reports at the time also suggested Alex had been telling his school friends about the news, with everybody involved 'very happy'.

Alex has grown up on our TV screens, playing the role of Simon Barlow since the age of just six.
Over the last decade that he's been on the show, Alex has been able to get his teeth into some good storylines - resulting in a massive four nominations for Best Young Performance at the British Soap Awards, and a win in 2011.
Alex and Levi's baby is reportedly due in December 2018.
