Self-care will forever be our favourite hobby but we appreciate that recharging and putting yourself first looks different for everyone. Each week, we'll be asking the celeb lot to share their ideal self-care Sunday routines, the hard-working beauty products they recommend to their friends and which TV show they're currently binging…

This week it's all about Georgia Kousoulou, the TV personality who shot to fame after starring on TOWIE for seven years and is now known and loved for being frank about the realities of motherhood.

The 32-year-old married TOWIE co-star and long-term partner, Tommy Mallet in a secret ceremony in December and they have a two-year-old son, Brody. The family have since launched their ITVBe spin-off show, Baby Steps, which shows all the joy, tears, stress and magical moments of starting a family.

Over the years, Georgia cemented herself as an agony aunt on TV and online and now has penned her very own book, I Wish I Knew, which gives her 'honest and real lessons on love life and family as you grow.'

It sounds right up our street, but why was it so important for Georgia to write?

"I realised after talking about my life, I didn't know a lot!" Georgia tells heat. "Growing up I feel like I never knew much, I always used to ask questions. So I basically wrote it all down so other people don't have to ask those questions."

Georgia chats to heat about her favourite life lessons from the book, self-care routines and the daily wellness habits that help keep her sane...

On self-care

"Self-care for me is having my evening to myself. It's so jokes, I'm a mum all day or I'm working all day and it gets to half 7, quarter to eight, it's like a sign-off. My brain is like, "Bye!" Brody goes to bed and I'm like, "Tom, I'm going to the living room!"

"My living room is my sanctuary at night because I feel like I'm in the kitchen all day. I do tell Tommy he can join me if he wants, but I don't like it when he does because he talks and he's on his phone and he still gets work calls until 8 o'clock and I'm not in the zone for that.

"So I'll put something on TV or I'll put on some background noise and I will literally sit with a glass of milk and sit on my phone. I just scroll or catch up with my friends, because that's the only time I have to reply to WhatsApp. I'm so bad!

"This year I've really started doing things for myself. I've started getting massages and I've never been so happy about it. I always get my nails done and I get my lashes done, but I feel like they're a necessity, I have to do it. But massages, I always put off. I think it's really good for your blood flow. So I booked myself in with this local lady, really lovely, on the high street and I've really enjoyed it and now I'm already booked in for two weeks. Go me, a bit of self-care!"

On skincare

Georgia's skin always looks incredible, so what are the hard-working products she can't be without?

"I use medical-based skincare because I went through a really random stage of getting acne and it was when I was on TOWIE years ago. It came out of the blue and it got really bad. I went to see a doctor called Dr. Esho who is unbelievable. He literally changed my whole skin. I still go to him, but he's unfortunately in Wimbledon so it's quite a trek.

"I used to go once a month pre Brody but now it's more like once every two months and I'll get a full cleanse and stuff.

"In the meantime, I use pHformula and they have a cleanser, a serum and a cream. I do my steps every day."

On make-up favourites

"I either look very plain or I look really glam - there is no in-between! If I had to get ready quickly for dinner with the girls or something then I would use the Armani Fluid Sheer. It's like a highlighter and I put it all over my skin to give me a glow look. It's not glittery but it's glowy.

"Then I get a bit of concealer and dab it in little spots or whatever, a little bit of bronzer, some lip liner, done. It's easy. But it's the Armani Fluid Sheer which saves me, it's the best thing. I've used it for years and I hate it when I run out."

On budget beauty buys

"The other day I bought the Vaseline Rosy Tinted Lip Balm and it's got a bit of a pink tint to it and it's so nice. I put it on this morning and I just love it. You know those days when you want to put something on but not the full works? This is perfect."

On wellness habits

What are the little daily habits that ensure Georgia feels her best self?

"Listening to music. I just love getting into my car and I'll drop Brody to school and then on the way back, I just listen to what I want to listen to. It can be anything, but it just makes me feel good.

"Also a cup of tea, I have to have a cup of tea. I'm really not a nice person if I don't drink tea!"

On being kind to your body

We are so excited for the book's date, so what is one of her favourite lessons from the book?

"I'd say, especially for young girls, that fad diets don't work. I put so much pressure on myself when I was on TOWIE, in those early, early days. I was in my early twenties and wanted to look my best in a bikini and I just drove myself so crazy. I look back now and think, "Why?"

"I think now, we accept ourselves much more than back then. We're more accepting in general. My lesson would be to not put too much pressure on yourself, you are amazing how you are. You don't need to kill yourself twice a day in the gym.

"Obviously, working out is great for your mental health and everything is great in moderation, but I took it to the extreme. I did two gym sessions a day and wasn't really eating and it was the worst thing for myself and my body. I'd say that's definitely a helpful thing I've learned."

On finding yourself as a mum

Georgia has been refreshingly open about her parenting journey and previously shared how she felt as though she lost her identity after becoming a mum. What are her top tips for finding yourself again?

"Be easy on yourself as it's a wild transition. You've got to think, 'You are you for all this time and then you have a baby and now you're someone's mum.' Keeping a child alive is wild anyway and your body changes, your hormones are everywhere, although all I was doing was crying. And I was like, 'How do I dress? Do I still dress like me or do I have to dress like a mum?" It's a really weird time and I'm still learning. I mean, Brody's nearly three and I still feel like I haven't got it together yet!"

"Tommy's been really, really sweet actually. He was like, "Right let's go shopping" and I was like, "Oh no, I can't, I'm dreading it" We went out and he literally bought me loads of new leggings, nice gym ones and really nice jumpers.

"Thank god it's a trend because I feel good in a nice baggy jumper and it was a little boost that I needed. Just some new bits that I felt good in and I wore them with my new trainers and that was my outfit. I think that helped me get my identity a little bit."
